LucasArts announced on the GDC that they bring MI2 to the iPhone (among other platforms).

LeChuck's Revenge is my favorite title of the series and I cannot wait to see the beautiful new graphics.

This announcement just gave me the second biggest smile on my face I've ever seen. <-- edited for minors

I hope they will have better controls than the first game. Something like the Broken Sword controls would be better.

I'm trying to get hold of someone at Lucasarts to get some more info on it. Also it's a bummer they didn't announce the Tales of Monkey Island as everyone expected them to.

I got the Tales episodes with the MacHeist Nano bundle and they're nothing compared to the real games.

I haven't played Monkey Island on the PC, but I used to play it on my Commodore 64 and think an iPhone version would be fab - a real blast from the past!

What did you mean? In the Special edition of the first game you have the beautiful drawn new graphics (hence the special edition) or you can just do a two finger swipe at any point in the game and you get the original 256 color graphics from 1990.

So even if you don't like the new drawn graphics you still have the original. I really really don't see how this could have been possibly "f** up".

Good news everyone. The second game will have a ingame narrative track with Ron Gilbert, Tim Schafer, and Dave Grossman. At certain points in game you can start the narrative track. Those who have played a Valve game since HLČ: Lost Coast know what I mean.

And just at those beautiful new graphics. I'm so going to love this. Even with the crappy iPhone controls. Maybe there will be a iPad version too. That would be so sweet. Now I only have to see how I can afford a iPad in the first place :)

Aparetly the game has been released but it's not on the german Appstore yet.

It's out. I got the iPad version. It's gorgeous. Everyone who doesn't get this game isn't considered my friend anymore. Take that!
