About a week ago I received a new iTouch. At least that is what it seems like because my "old" 3g Touch now sports the iSkins Vibes case I won in the TMA Forums Giveaway. I chose the Reflex which is iSkins speak for translucent blue (frosted). The inside of the back has a pattern to it which looks pretty cool (see link). Outer finish is smooth. The case itself is of the flexible type that stretch-fits over the ipod. iSkins sends along a clear plug for the port (not headphone plug) , screen protector with cleaning wipe, dock adapter, and stickers.

How well does it protect, you ask? I have yet to drop my "pride and joy" and I will not start now for this review!:p However,it does have a feature which my original 2 piece slider does not. The power and volume buttons are covered by the case. This, along with the plug (wish it was blue too) might have saved my 2g from it's untimely water death.

I have found only two minor drawbacks. The first is the stretch fit style of the case. The Scosche adapter I use for my truck stereo barely plugs in without popping off at least the bottom part of the case first. My 2 piece slider case makes this real easy. The other issue I have is the smooth finish. Simply put, it slides too easily on cloth surfaces for my tastes/habits.

Overall, the Vibes is a very well made, stylishly colorful and protective case imo. If you are looking for something to keep the pocket lint, dust and dirt out and don't need to remove the case too often, it is worth checking out.

Thanks goes out to Touch My Apps and iSkins for the Vibes!
