Well, I think the folks at most-expensive can't read anything but English, otherwise, they would have known about Final Audio's 500 000$ Opus 204 (http://www.final-audio-design.com/pure01.html) speaker system and probably a number of other systems out there in the world, but they have an interesting read anyway.

Remember, more isn't always better and for this amount of dosh, dear me, you could have a nice bicycle!

The Transmission Audio (http://www.transmissionaudio.com/) Ultimate speaker system isn't only incredibly heavy, it weights 2 000 000$ - that's a lot of £! Jokes aside, yikes, the multi-speaker unit is powered from dual monoblock amps and is composed of many ribbon speakers inside. Dizzy dizzy.

Of course, more expensive doesn't mean better, it just means more expensive, but I'm sure no matter how diminishing the returns, Transmission's stuff sounds good.

I listened at the IFA to a 2.000.000€ home cinema setup. But there the entire equipment + cables clocked in at 2m and not just the speakers.

Well, the exchange rate should almost account for the TV and a few other things. The above setup is a 2 channel setup, so imagine if it was set up for 5,1 or 7,1 for cinema! Think 10mill!

B&W lovers are going to hate me for this. In the list of the most beautiful loudspeakers, the B&W Nautilus was ranked number one. In my opinion, the Nautilus speakers are more scary than beautiful. I believe the Scaena speakers look sexier and much more appealing than B&W Nautilus. The Nautilus speakers are more scary than beautiful.

Of course the name doesn't mean great, but... B&W do make some very good products. Their 600$ Zeppelin is quite good if a bit boomy even with bass attenuated, and their home speakers are very good. Still though, they may not be my personal cup of tea.
