If you've played PvZ, be it on the iPhone or PC/Mac, then you know just how awesome and surprisingly deep this tower defense game really is. With so many different plants to choose from and various zombies to kill, countless strategies can be implemented. That said, I invite you to share your personal/favorite tips and strategies for PvZ on the iDevice.
I'm eager to hear what each of you think is the "best" way to play the game.

Well, I haven't gotten to the roof level yet, but here's my strategy.
In a morning level, I can usually put down three sunflowers before the first zombie.
Then I put a pea-shooter and another sunflower.
Another peashooter and from there it starts to vary.
Make sure to have as many sunflowers as you can in the beginning. It's the most important one!

I place as much energy generating flowers as fast as possible and only he necessary shooter until I have quite some sun incomming.
Haven't gotten too far into the app but so far-
Generally left to right
Sunflowers to the far left
green Pea shooter (100) next where/when needed
blue Pea shooter (175) next to the greens
spud mines about in the middle
Purple zombie eater
Night time-
sunflowers with the yellow shrooms
purple shrooms more to the middle/right of the yard
green Pea shooters/mines when available
That's all for now folks, your results will vary :)

Another tip: definitively look up all plants and zombies in the almanac. Their descriptions are hilarious.

Tip: Stare at zombies at right side of the scrren when selecting your weapons, it shows the kind of zombies you'll fight to.

I'm sick and tired of the fogs at night stages........ ugh

For day levels, usually one full row of sunflowers, and for night, two rows of shrooms and then delete some as the others grow.

Don't underestimate the garlic. Plant sunflowers on your top and bottom rows leaving two spaces on the right. Then place two pieces of garlic in the remaining spaces. That will make all your zombies move in one row, then you can really amp up your fire power and get those zombies before they eat your brains!

Might be a bit off topic, but has anyone ever survived a night level without the use of shrooms?

That's actually a strategy I've yet to try... sounds like a it'll work real well. For one reason or another, I've never made use of the garlic much (guess I did underestimate them!)

I used garlic on the first and last lane but I never thought about about moving all zombies into one lane.

If you do that, you've got more chance of getting more zombies with a cherry bomb, which is one of the achievements. I've only got about three because I've not got that far into the game yet. The garlic was a tactic I used in the PC version.

Looks like I'll be trying out this garlic method as well :D
I hardly ever touched it after the adventure mode was over the first time...

Woohoo! I finally unlocked the Yeti zombie. Only one more Achievement to go and I'll have completed the whole game!
