Has anyone noticed that when browsing the app store's new releases from their device that it's now alphabetized?
I'm pretty sure this is somewhat recent, and has some implications...
If I'm not mistaken, this was done back in the day when the app store first opened and everyone was then releasing games with the letter a to be sure they were seen first. It was changed to avoid this phenomenon, and I thought the app store had fixed that but it seems to be back.
Anyone else notice this or have I just not noticed this for a while?
Will this be the restart of new releases all starting with the letter "A"?
nope, isn't like that in my device...

Seriously? Are you guys messing with me? ;)
I'm on 3.1.2, haven't updated to 3.1.3, but are you all checking under all games, new releases from your device (not itunes or anywhere else! lol)?
Did I dream this or something? If I did, I need some serious help, but I could swear it was the case. I'm on a Touch with no access to wifi until later tonight to double check.
Anyone here can confirm what I believe I noticed????
Please...for my own sake....please.....

Okay. When you go into categories, games, all games it's ordered by alphabet.
All oher lists are still as they were.

AHA! I knew it!
Thanks for clearing that up, and allowing me to maintain a small amount of self-respect. :)
So, will Grand Theft Auto be renamed to A Grand Theft Auto? Will Zombies vs Pizza be renamed to A Zombies vs Pizza...

I don't think that a given the shear amount of apps , too many people actually browse the "all games". I guess the spot where the most purchases are made are the top 25/50 lists and the highlight picks.
I actually have never used the categories view.

I'm confused.
Nowhere on the AppStore is it in alphabetical order for me.
In any case, I only browse for apps in the Top 50 and Featured ones.

Going through hundred of pages to find a little gem in the thousands of apps is so tasking, especially when going into categories (never got past A! LOL). Is there a way to see all new apps, other than the new & noteworthy ones?

There is a tap to sort by date.

Its too tedious to go through page by page from the AppStore. Normally I find that discussions in various forums give the better alternative to highlight gems.

Most of the apps I get are suggested/reviewed by TMA! :)

Totally and completely agree. However, us folks that search through forums are truthfully in the minority. The app store is built around impulse purchases, and being able to be buy something from your bed, in your pj's, without having to grab a credit card or giving you any time to second guess yourself. So for the majority of people who do their browsing through their device, the alphabetical listing can have great consequences.
I sometimes like to go through the store on my device, just for fun and to make sure no forums have missed a gem (has not happened yet, but you can never be too sure! hehe), but again, I'm pretty sure that most people don't research their purchases, they just see some pretty/cute pictures, and poof, download their new game. And if they see game A Grand Theft Auto, they'll buy that quickly before they actually get to the real Grand Theft Auto for example.
