It isn't cold now - a full 0 degrees makes the snow die every day a bit more. And in the sun, it is sweltering. Despite that -- and I actually saw this -- people use sausages to poke at their iPhone screens. This is a Korean phenomenon. CJ corporation's meat sausages are just that much like fingers - Vegetarians won't win this one. I will try this with my processed smoke cheese when I get home!
What do you think of this?
Kottke has more on this (http://kottke.org/10/02/meat-stylus-for-the-iphone)

Crazy! Are iPhones getting popular in Korea?

I actually don't know what to say to this.

Actually, there are quite a few iPhones on the street now and people are amazed because: until November last year, there were no smartphones in the country as they were not allowed as the government wanted to keep competition out. In April of 2009, the first ever non-Korean phones were allowed into Korea.
When the iPhone came in, people realised they could use their phone for music and games - a first for this country which sees people carry video players/mp3 players/phones at the same time. The iPhone is the first device to do all three reasonably well.
I have heard the trend of wearing pajamas in public areas started in Japan, so maybe this is Korea's contribution? For me I will stick with the Pogo sketch.
Just something about beating with ones meat...

Badaboom! Well played. :)
While this is obvioulsy not the most appealing thing aesthetically, in all honesty, I'd love a stylus to use rather than getting fingerprints all over my device. In fact, it could also possibly help to avoid having your thumb coverup parts of the screen....

Let me know if you find one worth using...because i've tried one and the response was crap. you end up having to apply more pressure than you would with your finger...annoying.

It's a funny idea, you can eat them when you finish playing. I haven't actually tried it because I can't find any sausages in the house now

Well, I can confirm that the 'cheese stylus' works. Used a similarly wrapped cheese stylus to great effect.

Aside from the meat part, this could be really promising. Are there any other similar (non-edible) devices that can be used on an iPhone screen?

By similar do you mean items from around the house ( As opposed to the Pogo Sketch )?
Hmmm.... let the experimenting begin!

I've seen winter gloves with a special (well at least they said it was special) silicon like tip at a local clothing store but I refuse to touch my iPhone with sausages!

Doesn't work for me. Shame, I came all the way to Korea to try this.

Dude, you have to get the RIGHT meat stylus - the Apple-approved one. Well, here it is the Samsung approved one!
