EA Mobile is hoping to get iOS gamers in the mood for love with another EA-themed App Store sale – this time with select games at up to 85% off. While not all titles have dropped to $0.99, a number of EA games on sale can be enjoyed with that special someone on Valentine’s Day, namely SCRABBLE, THE GAME OF LIFE for iPad, and MONOPOLY for iPad. Head on within and see which you can grab for yourself, or at the very least, gift them through iTunes to your significant other and score some brownie points.
As part of Gameloft’s Valentine’s Day Sale, 14 of their best-selling iOS and Mac games have dropped to $0.99. For the first time ever (at least in the US App Store), the well-executed movie tie-in and universal app The Adventures of Tintin can now be had for a buck. Other iOS dollar deals include Earthworm Jim, Gangstar Rio: City of Saints and more. For those who game on their Macs, 9mm, Asphalt 6: Adrenaline and Dungeon Hunter: Alliance round out this Feb 14th promo. The complete list of Gameloft games on sale can be found below.
TellTale Games, one of the most popular publishers of Adventure Games on the planet, is also celebrating the New Year with an awesome $0.99 sale for a number of their iOS offerings. HECTOR: Ep1 HD – We Negotiate with Terrorists (Review), a hilarious 3rd person point-and-tap adventure starring foul-mouthed Detective Inspector Hector (and honorable mention in our App Store’s best Adventure Games roundup) has dropped from $6.99 to a buck. So instead of paying well over $20 for the 3 part series, the complete trilogy on the iPad can be yours for only $3. Fans of the genre will also get to pick up Puzzle Agent, Wallace & Gromit The Last Resort for iPad and several others for a dollar. Telltale doesn’t often drop their games to $0.99, so if you’re into the puzzle/adventure scene, now would be a great time to take the plunge (links after the break). The sale will last an entire week, up until January 29th.
Today marks the first day of the Chinese New Year (the Year of the Dragon) and Gameloft is once again offering another $0.99 iOS sale. This time, 9 of their hit titles have dropped to $0.99 for a limited time, including BackStab, Silent Ops and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Shadow Vanguard. If you’ve missed out on Gameloft’s previous dollar deals, be sure to grab them while the offer’s still good. Complete links after the break.
IM+ Pro, one of the best instant messaging apps on the iDevice, is now on sale for $0.99 – down from its regular price of $9.99. This IM supports nearly all the major chat platforms, including MSN, Yahoo, Facebook, AIM and more. In addition, a recent update introduced Beep, a free alternative to SMS and MMS that lets you chat with contacts from your phone’s Address Book (similar to WhatsApp).
Introducing Beep: free mobile-to-mobile in-app messenger.
We figured you’ve been looking for a free alternative to SMS for a while now. And now we’ve got that right in IM+. Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and other mobile devices that your friends use IM+ on: Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone.
Whenever you send and receive text messages, photos, video or voice messages, IM+ Beep will make sure that your message was successfully sent and notify you when it is safely delivered. Push will make incoming messages instantly pop up on your device.
And for all you Angry Birds fans, SHAPE Services even teamed up with Rovio to bring you an interactive Angry Birds theme (just think occasional flying birds and pigs in the background). If you’re after an All-in-One IM app for your iPhone/iPad, this is a fantastic deal at only a buck.
SHAPE Services, IM+ Pro, – $0.99
Christmas is just 2 days away and the App Store’s once again littered with awesome deals. Numerous big name publishers have dropped most, if not all, their titles to just $0.99, including EA, Big Fish Games and SEGA. If not a dollar, then expect anywhere from 40-75% off regular prices. This is certainly one of the biggest iOS sales of the year (next to Thanksgiving). The majority of these offers are good until even after Christmas, so you should have plenty of time to decide which ones to add to your app collection. The complete roundup after the break.
The $0.99 deals just keep on coming. Big Fish, publishers of some of the best and most popular Hidden Object games (among other genres) on the iDevice, has dropped 66 of their App Store titles to the dollar mark. Normally at anywhere from $2.99 to $6.99, top-selling Big Fish games like Drawn: The Painted Tower HD, Mahjong Towers and Azada (TMA Review) can now be picked up on the cheap. This huge holiday sale will last through the Christmas holidays, right up until Dec 29th. If hidden object and casual games are your cup of tea, be sure to check out the full list of assorted iPhone and iPad games after the gap.
Note that some of these Big Fish titles are free to download, though require an in-app purchase (now $0.99 after the price drop) to unlock the full game.
While not as extensive as EA’s Christmas Sale, Gameloft too has dropped a good number of their iOS titles to $0.99 for the holidays. Of the 17 on sale, some of the more notable ones include Gangstar Rio: City of Saints, N.O.V.A. 2, Fast Five and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six®: Shadow Vanguard. And for those of you who game on the Mac, 6 Gameloft titles on the Mac App Store have also dropped to a dollar (Modern Combat: Domination, Starfront: Collision and more). No word on when the sale ends exactly, though these $0.99 deals should be good for the rest of the week. The complete iTunes links after the break.
Not content with the ongoing Daily Deals, EA Mobile has launched their 2nd Annual “Biggest Sale” event, where essentially all their App Store games are now going for only $0.99. As such, hit games like Dead Space™ for iPad, Real Racing 2, FIFA SOCCER 12, and the newly released Trenches II can all be had for a mere dollar. If you’ve been saving up for some great iOS games, now would be the time to take the plunge. The full list of EA titles on sale can be found after the gap.
The freebies just keep on coming. Telltale Games’ Monkey Island Tales 1 - the fifth game in the popular Monkey Island series – is now free for a limited time (coinciding with today’s release of episode 2 for the iPhone). Like most Telltale games on the App Store, M.I.T is an episodic adventure that puts you in the shoes of your favorite pirate, Guybrush Threepwood, once again. If you haven’t tried this point and click adventure yet, now’s your chance to grab the opening chapter on the house. Lots more freebies just after the break!
Also, our Apps Gone Free roundup from yesterday still has many apps showing free on iTunes.
