Put away your credit cards and your cameras: there’s nothing to see here and no reason to buy tickets. Ping pong is the onomatopoetic alliteration of a ball hitting a bat in the game of table tennis. It is also a threat I sometimes hear when big blokes with garden hoses and mesh-backed hats remark,”I gonna go ping pong on yo’ apps, yeah”, and the like. People who play don’t say stuff like that. But, I’m sure that LOLriffic Stuff, maker of Ping Pong do (say stuff like that).
I couldn’t have said it better. ‘We want gold’, a saying not made famous by New Order’s Football World Cup song. While we at TMA can rest assured that England won’t win any time soon, we cannot predict who will take top spot at the App Store. Last time we gave enough of a hoot, it was iDracula sporting its silver guns and swords looking down on the world from the Top Paid App position. This time, Paper Toss is the Top Free App and has been since the 13th! That is five full days atop the world. Will it become a record? Will you create a record? You can – I can’t – I really suck at this game.

For those of you who have never experienced riding in a New York City taxi cab, let me tell you. Its like riding on a roller coaster! It’s a wild and wacky adventure where you’re sitting in the back of the cab holding on for dear life as your driver maneuvers in and out of traffic coming ever so close to clipping everything and anything in sight. Get the heck out of the way there Mr. Hot Dog vendor! In TaxiDriver New York, you are the driver and your goal is to pick up your passengers and deliver them to their destination of choice while doing it safely so you can collect your fares.
EA have type-casted me as a sleaze and I will admit to liking it. But, let me straighten out one thing: prior to playing the Sims 3, I had no idea what a ‘woohoo’ was and why my sim should as a dying wish desire it 8 times in one day. Well, after at least 17 hours of play, I have not accomplished his goal, but I have learned how to be a true and proper sleaze in this beautiful game.
10 Pin Shuffle is a beautiful looking game with amazing 3D graphics which brings you not one but two games within one application. You can play the American style bar room shuffleboard in which the goal is to slide your four weights down the shuffleboard table in an attempt to accumulate the most amount of points while not landing in the gutters. The second game play option is what’s called Shuffle Bowling which was created with real 3D pin physics. The twist here is that you’re ‘bowling’ with a puck on a shuffleboard table which makes for unique play. If only it was only that easy to nab 300 points! With that said, let’s delve into each game.
Nothing is perfect, but the Sims 3 for the iPhone is such a well-adapted game that I am ready to throw in the towel and confess my love. –This is not a review– The Sims has everything: mini-arcade action, strategy, time-management, resource management, role-playing and even romance. It has much much more too, but –This is not a review–

Race fans haven’t long to wait for another exciting tyre-burner. Firemint Real Racing has just been submitted to Apple for approval and considering the dosh that rides on the wheels of racing apps, expect Apple to move quickly. This racer isn’t another Need for Speed clone – you will take the role of a championship racer at the head or tail of a bunch of other professionals. Great graphics, tight cornering and my favourite: cockpit view are all included. But don’t take my word for it, take a gander at the video!
Keep an eye out at the App Store for Real Racing as well as other great apps from Firemint.
Over the past several months, there have been some great games priced at a dollar that has made its way to the Top 10 at the App Store: Doodle Jump, Pocket God and Stickwars just to name a few. Not only are they great in value, but their developers have also made every effort in updating the game to keep the content fresh and sweet. Well Firemint, the fine folks behind one of the most popular titles in Flight Control (and one that had been enjoying life atop of the App World for quite sometime) has just released a worthwhile update that includes more planes, airports and in-game scoreboards for those ultra competitive stat junkies.
If you have yet to try out Flight Control, do us a favor and buy the $0.99 game ASAP. Its fun, addictive and crazy challenging (I can’t disclose how many planes I have landed for fear of being mocked), and it sure beats being a real ATC controller. Be sure to check out J. D’s review of the game and more juicy screenshots/details can be found after the jump.
Football has fierce competition both off and on the pitch. Manage Your Football Club is part fantasy football simulator, part resource manager and part hooligan. You can get your hands dirty in any of the English football leagues from League two all the way to the top with the Premier league. If you don’t have time to read 15 pages of praise, then leave this review with the following: Manage Your Football Club is a triumph of immense proportions. It is thick with strategy, depth of play and excellent game mechanics. I am Grabbing it before I even start my proper review.
Before I get too far, I will have to apologise. Sports Director Ltd. have created a deep game – too deep to be properly covered in one review unless I were to write a full book. To explain every feature and even shallowly discuss strategies would careen this website off the server!

If you have been waiting for the iPhone implementation of the most successful PC game in history, then you will have to wait a bit longer — unless you live in Australia or have somehow syphoned off an Aussie account. As Australians travel time faster than those in North and South America, Europe, Africa and parts of Asia, we will leave it up to them to deliver some short clips, previews, reviews and happy face pictures as their Sims manage to nab the right one in the pub or at the library.
