Tower Defense has just gotten a very promising upgrade in the form of InMotion Software’s Dungeon Defense:Crypt Edition. This Tower Defense game has come out of seemingly nowhere. The graphically excellent game has a lot of TD fans excited with good reason but can it compete with the “big boys”  like Field Runners and the even newer ElementalMonster TD?

Finally, another Time Management game to ease my new addiction…Phew, I feel better! Actually, Chocolatier, brought to us by PlayFirst is actually so much more than that. Sure, there is the time management aspect in terms of efficiently using your time (in this case travel), but at heart, it’s more of a tycoon/economic type game.

Circuit Defenders in Review – Anti-Virus With a Twist… or Tower

It’s practically a right of passage for anyone that has ever owned a computer (unless you’re so cool that you’ve only ever had a Mac). One day you start to notice that your computer is running a lot slower than it used to. No matter how few programs you’re running, or how much disk space you free up, you swear there’s something going on in the computer. Oh yeah, the constant porn pop-ups are also a sign that something is definitely not right. The developers at Sector3 have an idea of what’s going on in there, and they made it into a game: Circuit Defenders.

Sentinel in Review – TD goes Sci-Fi!

One of the things I love about the app store is the sheer amount of choice.  Don’t get me wrong, some days I hate it as well also for that very same reason.  But, when you like a specific genre, such as TD games for example, it’s a nice place to be able to visit. Sentinel, by Origin8 is the latest addition to the TD bunch.  I won’t go into explaining TD games as it has already been done here at Touchmyapps in several reviews, but Sentinel brings in an element of science fiction and nice looking graphics which does add a fresh vibe.

geoDefense in Review – Tower Defense gets an Old Facelift

It seems like vector-esque graphics are the new vogue. With the rise in popularity of games such as Vector Tanks and Blue Attack!, it was only a matter of time before developers brought this visual style to the arena of Tower Defense (aka) TD games. This seems a no brainer given the fact that one of the better Flash TD games out there is Vector TD, a TD game that is done in vector graphics. Yet, despite the fact that the TD genre has a growing number of entries and that vector graphics may one day be passe, geoDefense does make a strong case in justifying its presence in your iDevice and within the TD genre in general.
