Todo apps are great. They can help you stay on top of all the things that need getting done and as far as your iDevice goes, there are thankfully plenty of options available. One “problem” however, is that most of them are very much “list” based. There are times when you just want to keep things simple, like when all you need is a reminder for something – this is where HiFutureSelf comes into play.
For the last couple weeks I’ve been using the iPhone 4 Defender Series Case by Otterbox, who’ve long been referred to as one of, if not the best providers of durable cases for mobile phones. With all the horror stories about the phone’s supposed “gorilla glass” breaking and cracking, I was extremely eager to test one out and protect my own Jesus phone.
If you’re lucky like me (and the many other App Store lurkers) you were able to get your hands on Skyfire during its initial launch day. Claiming to be able to play just about any flash video, it was anticipated by just about everyone with an iDevice. Unfortunately, due to a massive surge of users, SkyFire’s servers crashed and the app was pulled from the App Store within 5 hours of release. The good news is that the app is now back (currently US only), and will continue to be re-released in batches in other countries. Let’s take a look and see if flash video is ready for prime time on the iPhone.
TiKi Toss 3D is the latest in the line of pickup-and-play style of games that I’ve had the chance to review. As I’ve said repeatedly in the past, when it comes to game genres on the iPhone, this is my favorite bar none. With promises of captivating gameplay and immersive accompanying music, read on to see if Tiki Toss is worth your while and whether it’ll make you want to come back for more.
Tilt to Live is one of the latest games that has seen much success on the iPhone/iPod touch and now made the move onto the iPad as a separate HD version. Much like my latest review of Angry Birds HD, Tilt To Live HD is essentially the same as its iPhone and iPod Touch predecessor. Keeping that in mind, read on to see how this addictive game plays out on the iPad.
When Angry Birds first hit the App Store, it became an instant success. Its easy to pickup/hard to put down formula was a perfect match for its brilliant graphics and amusing comicbook style storyline. Now available for the iPad, it seems Angry Birds HD’s destiny is all but guaranteed to match its iPhone predecessor.
Monitoring your data usage is one of those mundane things that most people just overlook. It’s boring, tedious and if you’re like me you have enough things to worry about in a day without adding yet another. Thankfully, sigterm has come out with Data Usage for your iPhone, a quick and easy monitoring tool to help track all your data usage with minimal effort.
I’ve been doing a lot of buying and selling online lately and one of things that’s alway been a pain is keeping track of the shipments. I’ve even tried some apps before to help with the tracking, but they either didn’t provide enough details or didn’t quite have all the shipping services I needed. Then I found Delivery Status Touch from JuneCloud, a package tracker that’s beautifully designed with support for a host of delivery services.
Available today is a huge update for both FileMaker Go for the iPhone and iPad. I reviewed the apps back in August and really enjoyed using them. That said, there were a few features I found missing – the biggest being the lack of camera/photo library support. I am glad to say that FileMaker has remedied this and now added support for images. With the latest version, users can now add photos to their database entries either using the camera or pulling from existing albums. Here’s what’s new in v1.1.1:
- Take photos, add them to the database, and email as an attachment
- Convert records to PDF and email file from the database
- Save a copy of a database and email it as an attachment
- Import records from FileMaker Pro databases to FileMaker Go via scripts
- Be able to require users to re-log onto FileMaker Go after iPhone hibernates
- Solves compatibility issues running on iPhone
Users of FileMaker (Mac) who require access to their databases remotely should definitely consider picking up the apps for their iDevices. They’re well designed and work as advertised. For all the updates and enhancements check out the press release after the jump.
Hey there race fans! It’s been awhile since I’ve reviewed any kind of race game. Thankfully that changes today. Today I was fortunate enough to get my hands on a copy of I-Play’s MotoGP 2010. So hold on tight as this review speeds off after the jump.
