Who Has The Biggest Brain? in Review – Shows off the best of the platform
The thing that attracted me most about Who Has The Biggest Brain? was the Facebook version; I’ve played it many times and I must say I really like it. The graphics are funny and that the multitude of simple games offers great entertainment and laughter. Most important, however, is that the game allows the competition between all Facebook users who play this game. When it was released for the iPhone/ iPod Touch platform, I immediately wanted to try it, because I knew that if the game was done correctly, then it can be tremendously fun on a mobile platform. As well, developer Playfish’s offering is also one of the first to use Facebook Connect, a protocol for developers to integrate its applications with the Facebook platform.
Airport Mania: First Flight in Review – Very Addictive Strategic Game
When I first looked at the description of Airport Mania: First Flight on iTunes, I knew I immediately wanted to buy it. This was because I loved the cute little planes and that the theme of the game was very interesting to me. I mean, yes, the game is about airports and how to best utilise the resources at that particular airport, but deep down it’s really a strategic game whereby the player has to fit the right pieces into the right place. This proved right when I actually finished this game; I haven’t finished a game in a long time.
Photo fx in Review – Photo editing at its Simplest Form
Let’s be frank here; this is another photo modifying/ enhancing application for the iPhone/ iPod Touch platform, and when one downloads this type of app there are a few certain things that one expects. These are things like changing the colours and hues of the photo, the contrast and brightness, and things like that. However, Photo fx packages the functions and enhancements for photos in a very different manner, which I think is more appropriate for mobile use.
Pocket God in Review – A very good source of laughter… especially during these times…
I was browsing the iTunes App Store one day, and I suddenly came across this app; I read the description in iTunes and I was very intrigued by the purpose of Pocket God. I initially though that this game is very similar to The Sims or others in the genre, but it turns out to be an entirely different type of game. Whatever caused me to download this game I have no regret in doing so.

When I was first introduced to Yard Sale Hidden Treasures, I had no idea what it was all about; all I know was that it had very good reviews on iTunes as well as on other websites. Given those, I had high expectations.
Things in Review – What the iPhone needed built in all along
I remember when I first got my iPhone (it was a first generation that I had to unlock to use outside of the US), I was very amazed by the syncing capabilities. The data on the phone was exactly the same as on the computer, I could copy all my bookmarks, e-mail account settings and my entire phonebook without any problems such as duplication or the phone simply not syncing (I used to use Sony Ericssons). However I was, and still am, intrigued as to why the phone cannot sync tasks or to-dos. The reason is very simple; Leopard has it and since it could sync everything over from the computer, why not tasks and to-dos??

Remote in Review – A Perfect Extension to iTunes/ Apple TV
Initially when Apple came out with its first iPhone/ iPod Touch app on the App Store, the Remote app, I just wasn’t interested in installing it, even though it was free. This was because whenever I was listening to music, I would be within reach of my computer, and therefore really don’t need the redundant control on my iPhone. I was a little sceptical when this category of apps debuted on the iPhone/ iPod Touch platform. EYE vs. EYE in Review – Very niche game, but addictive in its weird way
To clarify, I’m no designer; I don’t have an eye for décor or what not; and to be honest when I heard that this game was “one in a series of design-oriented games…”, it didn’t really pump up my enthusiasm towards it. However, given that OSX iPhone platform had given rise to a new generation of applications, my curiosity got the better of me to take a look.
