Boolagoon, a new studio founded earlier this year by three former Angry Birds developers from Rovio, have been cooking up a new iOS game - Noble Nutlings - set for release next thursday. No, it doesn’t involve catapults or birds, but rather some nutty squirrels and a rickety wooden cart. Billed as an physics based action-racing, you’re charged with piloting said squirrels through 36 levels of terrain (while trying to keep them safely onboard), with an emphasis on being able to customize your ride with fruits and other power-boosting objects.
The game will be free to play, though players will have the option of buying in-game coins via IAP for pimping out their dream cart ride (thousands of combinations are said to be available). While the official US App Store release date is on January 10th, Noble Nutlings has already been made available to iDevice users in Canada, New Zealand, United Arab Emirates and Finland. So if you’re in one of these regions, you can pick up this seemingly fun and promising physics racer a week early.
