Apple is calling it their “fastest phone roll-out ever”, with 100 countries and 240 carriers to receive the iPhone 5 by end of the year. On September 21st, the next gen iPhone will launch in 9 countries, including: US, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. Pre-orders will start this Friday, on September 14. (Contract) Pricing will be the same as the 4S: $199 for 16GB. $299 for 32GB, $399 for 64GB.
If you don’t live in the aforementioned countries, fret not as the second wave of iPhone 5 launches will occur on Sept 28, with 22 nations being included in this round. They are:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finaland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
And with the release of the iPhone 5, the iPhone 4 is now free on contract and the 4S just $99.
