iPhone 5 features faster A6 chip and improved battery life

The iPhone 5 not only got a facelift by growing to 4″, but it’s internals have been upgraded as well. Utilizing the all new A6 chip, it’s even smaller and faster. 2x faster then the iPhone 4S’s A5X chip for CPU and graphics. Apple claims that the iPhone 5 will launch the Pages app 2.1x faster and load the music app with songs 1.9x snappier.

Also improved is the iPhone 5’s battery life. Apple says that they’ve “matched or exceeded the battery life of the iPhone 4S.”. As can been seen in keynote screenshot below, you can expect 8 hours of 3G talking time/browsing, 8 hours of LTE browsing, 10 hours of Wi-Fi browsing and 10 hours of video. For a phone this slim (supposedly the world’s thinnest smartphone now), the battery life is plenty impressive.
