Stream Microsoft Office to your iPad with OnLive Desktop

OnLive Desktop, brought to you the company that specializes in online game streaming to computers and mobile devices, is now available for the iPad as a free app. Similar to the recently released CloudOn app, OnLive Desktop not only brings Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to your tablet, but also a Windows 7 experience while away from your PC.

OnLive® Desktop is a service that provides a seamless, no-compromise, instant-response cloud-based PC desktop, wherever and whenever you want it. OnLive brings to your iPad a high-performance PC experience, regardless of the content, even when interacting with fast-action media.

Along with the free app download, the basic service is free to use (2GB of storage included), though you’ll need to first signup for an account. Monthly premium plans will be offered in the future, with extra storage (50GB) and features like cloud-accelerated web browsing and the ability to add additional PC applications. OnLive Desktop is currently only available in the US App Store and will require iOS 4.3 or later on the iPad.
