App Developer Denies inventing the Knock Knock Joke

Birmingham, United Kingdom – Neil Pettitt. CEO of Mobobo released a statement:
“Its a weird rumor that has sprang up, after we released Dork, the World’s First fully interactive Joke telling app. Because we wanted a type of Joke that really involved the User in the experience, so we decided on ‘Knock Knock jokes’. They’re simple in structure, clean, and generally quite appealing, especially when the loveable Dork Character tells them.

Our apps are hugely popular in Latin America and the Middle East, however, I’m not sure Knock Knock jokes are, as from the App Store feedback we’re getting, it does appear quite a few Dork Users aren’t familiar with the Knock Knock Joke.

However, we’re not claiming to have introduced the Knock Knock joke to these areas at all, and reports of a craze of Brazilian children telling each other Knock Knock jokes in the playground cannot be substantiated as being anything to do with us. We’re also not sure if something’s getting lost in translation with the app store feedback. We’re just glad that people are enjoying Dork, and continue to do so, and as the app continues to go from strength to strength, we are considering further updates, who knows, next we may introduce Germany to the Doctor Doctor joke?”
