Get-A-Game now available for free download on the iTunes App store

New York, New York – Get-A-Game, the app for active people looking for pickup games, sports play and outdoor activities, is now available for free download on the iTunes App store. Get-A-Game helps users find people who are looking to do what they want to do, when and where they want to do it. Make teams with your friends or let Get-A-Game match you up with games near you. Be it Basketball in Bayside, Swimming in Seattle, or finding a new 4th for Tennis at the local park.

Get-A-Game allows you to make teams, create games, choose the sport, date, time, and place. Our virtual map tells you the “who, what where, why, when” of the game and lets you publish updates via email or Facebook. We’ll even Google map you from your current location directly to the game. Get-A-Game also allows you to search for locations, fields, pools, gyms, studios, and great sports related deals local to you.

“I’ve been searching for pickups games in NYC my whole life.” says Dan Tashman, creator of Get-A-Game, “And in that time, I’ve formed some opinions on what would be the best way to organize games. We’ve created a great app for anyone who likes to get out of the house, meet new people and try new things. It’s also an excellent tool for business travelers and vacationers. They can find sport options where they are going to be. Be it a pick-up game, a running partner, or just to expand their social network with people who share their common interests.”
