By now, you’ve likely seen a number of early leaks of iPhone 5 cases on the web, ones which point to a complete redesign of the 5th gen iPhone. Most of these silicone cases suggest a slimmer profile, wider screen and a curved back. And according to MIC Gadget, these iPhone cases are all over the place in China, suggesting that manufacturers have already begun (or are in the process) of mass producing them. We’ve also received a tip from a company based in Shenzhen, China that’s taking orders for the silicon cases. Minimum order appears to be 500 pieces (mixed colors allowed with 10 available colors) at US$0.78c a pop. Once payment has been received, the order will be shipped in 4 days time.
So the real question is how much faith you put into these iPhone 5 cases. I mean sure, you can buy a 1000 or more of ‘em, but just imagine if they don’t quite fit the iPhone 5 come September or October, its rumoured released date. Then you’ll have plenty of cases that aren’t good for any iDevice on the market. Of course, there’s also the scenario that they’re bang on and you make yourself a few bucks on the side. More piccies after the break.
