Herndon, Virginia – CFI Tools today is pleased to announce the latest upgrade for CFI Tools Preflight WX+ 1.11 for iPad. This App now used widely by General Aviation (GA) pilots now offers an expanded weather forecast function. Before every flight a pilot is required to acquire all available information about the flight. This information includes Weight and Balance of the aircraft, Takeoff and Landing distances, Weather and regulatory changes. The work needed to get this information can be difficult for a GA pilot. Preflight WX+ brings much of this information together in a single convenient package.
The Forecast feature is a natural add-on for the Preflight WX+ App. Along with the other briefing data in the App it further increases the situational awareness of the GA pilot. This makes a better and safer pilot.
“We are pleased to add this new feature to our Preflight WX App,” said CFI Tools owner Brian Best. “The iPad is the perfect platform for this application. Although the pilot’s job to gather this information is required, the fact is that it may often be skipped or done in random bits and pieces. The iPad and this App are so easy to use it makes the job easier. Therefore it will be done more often and more completely. My hope is that this will make the skies even safer. I built this App, and the others, for my own use for exactly that purpose”.
