Remote Conductor 1.1 for iPad Released – Adds Secure Keyboard

Seattle, Washington – m3me, Inc. today is pleased to announce the release of Remote Conductor 1.1 for iPad, an update to their popular productivity app for wirelessly controlling a Mac. Remote Conductor delivers three main features focused on streamlining everyday computing tasks: Application / Window Switcher, Remote Program Launcher and Wireless Trackpad. Version 1.1 adds top requested features such as a fully encrypted keyboard (unique in its category), direct connect by IP or host name and a network test mode.

Responding quickly to customer feedback, version 1.1 adds a secure basic keyboard – making Remote Conductor the only iPad trackpad app to provide an encrypted keyboard. The keyboard works in each of the three modes: Track, Launch & Switch. Also new is the ability to connect directly to a Mac by host name or IP for users on corporate or institutional networks that block automatic discovery. The free server program adds a network test mode to allow customers to check if their network is compatible before making a purchase. In addition to the new features, 1.1 brings many enhancements such as improved connection stability, reduced memory usage, the ability to lock the Launcher mode and an additional navigation gesture.

“Although Remote Conductor is primarily designed to make you more productive while sitting at your desk, there are many occasions where you’d want to sit back and control your Mac from a distance. Our new keyboard support makes that easy.” commented m3me co-founder, Paul Godavari. “It is important however, in this age of password and account hacking that convenience not take priority over security. This is why we built the keyboard to fully encrypt the keystrokes sent to the Mac, just as we encrypt all other Remote Conductor network communications.”

About Remote Conductor:
Remote Conductor turns your iPad into an input device by communicating securely over Wi-Fi with a free server program that runs on the Mac. The trackpad supports most modern multi-touch gestures for clicking, scrolling and dragging as well as for bringing up Expose, Spaces or the Dashboard. The Launcher allows programs on the Mac to be started just like apps on the iPad. It also displays icons pinned to the Mac’s dock as a scrollable row at the bottom of the screen. The Application / Window Switcher displays all the Mac’s open windows as thumbnails in a unique, scrollable grid. Any individual window can be focused and raised by tapping on a thumbnail, a feature unique to Remote Conductor.

Feature Highlights:
* Wireless control of a Mac over Wi-Fi
