Los Angeles, California – Headcase Games, in a special promotion with the website Appventcalendar, is pleased to announce that their highly-rated hit action-puzzle game 180 for iPhone and iPod touch is continuing their temporarily free promotion through the end of the 2010 calendar year. It is available for download today in the iTunes App Store.
As very recently featured in iTunes’ “What’s Hot” and “New and Noteworthy” in over 55 countries, 180 is a manic twitch-game disguised as a casual puzzler which has been enjoying a meteoric rise in the iTunes App Store charts for the past several days. The game recalls the classic gameplay of titles such as Tetris and Bejeweled while utilizing a fresh flipping mechanic made possible only by the iPhone’s multitouch screen.
The player must prevent the screen from filling up with gamepieces by shooting to connect 3 or more pieces of the same color. Unique is the player’s ability to touch any game piece on the playfield and flip it over 180 degrees; each piece has a different color on either side. Once mastered, seasoned players can quickly flip and shoot to create complex chains and combos.
Secret bonuses, multiple gameplay modes, lively characters, online OpenFeint leaderboards and more than twenty special achievements all add up to create an exciting and engaging gameplay experience that is designed to appeal to any gamer, casual or hardcore.
