Voehringen, Germany – Today der.heckser announced the release of their latest iPhone app WC Betting Pools. This app enables soccer fans around the globe to bet on the results for matches happening during the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa and compete with other fans worldwide to be crowned the king of soccer experts.
The design of the app is fresh and modern and shows all matches and groups of the World Cup. Users can adjust their bets on LED-styled score board. After each match players get points based on how accurate their prediction has been which makes them climb the global high score list. The worlds best three soccer experts of the free standard betting pool will win an Apple iPad 16GB, an Apple iPod touch 8GB and an iPod Nano 8GB.
The app can be upgraded to “Pro” to gain the possibility of creating your own betting pools, for example to play against your colleagues at work or your family. The owner of a pool can also invite other players to his pool via e-mail or directly enter new players and their bets on his device. A printable pool report is available as well.
“Being a big soccer fan I am really glad that our app has been approved in time before the start of the World Cup”, says Andreas Heck, CEO of der.heckser. “I’m also very happy because this app is the first project where we collaborated with talented iPhone Developer Oliver Drobnik, whom many know as ‘Dr. Touch’. Im sure that many future apps will come out of this German-Austrian partnership”
