Apple loses One Million as users create 1,000,000 AutoRingtone ringtones

Rochester, New York – No Tie Software’s AutoRingtone service has created over One Million custom Text-To-Speech talking ringtones since November 2009! That means AutoRingtone apps have potentially cost Apple over One Million Dollars, considering that Apple charges up to $1.29 per ringtone! It’s no wonder Apple hasn’t featured the AutoRingtone app! No Tie Software has had to reach this milestone the old fashioned way, providing a great app and a great service, at a great price ($0.99)!

The AutoRingtone service enables users to create their own talking “Caller ID” ringtones, that say exactly what they want, i.e. “Steve, the President is calling. He needs your advice. Again. Should I let it go to voicemail?”

Users can select from Dozens of professional (British Man, Woman, Old Man, GPS Gal, etc.) and funny voices (Jersey Girl, Valley Girl, Space Alien). They can use nearly 200 sound effects as an introduction, to get a user’s attention! There are no limitations… users can create unlimited ringtones and ringtones are completely uncensored. Indeed, many users are taking advantage of that feature!

Ringtones are downloadable in Both .m4r as well as .aiff format, so they can be created on an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad but used on iPhones as well as other phones.

No Tie even created a funny video that shows how the service works, called “AutoRingtone: Behind the Curtain”!

The AutoRingtone service works with a number of iPhone apps:

AutoRingtone – Users type their name and a caller’s name and a preformed message is created (“Your Name, your phone is ringing. Caller’s Name is calling. Your Name, please answer the phone”)

Ringtones Uncensored – Users type their custom message in a free-form multiline text box. This is nice because the iPhone can use custom ringtones as alarm clock alerts, i.e. “Chris, it’s time to take your medicine.”

Free Speech Tones – For the iPad version of Ringtones Uncensored, No Tie was forced to change the name! In the ultimate irony, the word “uncensored” was actually censored! Even though the app itself has no objectionable content and “uncensored” is part of other app names (Family Guy Uncensored, etc.). So, No Tie calls the iPad version “Free Speech Tones” in an ironic twist! Even if No Tie is censored, the user is not!
