9,999 Ringtones Uncensored in Review – Now Your Phone Can Tell You Who’s Calling
One of the issues that circled the iPhone for awhile was the inability to make custom ringtones. Apple fumbled initially but eventually recovered but whilst down, numerous companies sprung up to offer their services. They offer everything from creating ringtones to custom custom soundboards. The latter I have with me today in 9,999 Ringtones Uncensored.
No Tie Software’s app 9,999 Ringtones Uncensored is one of a handful of apps the company has produced to aid the creation of exactly the ringtone you want. Everything from sound effects, animals and even voice are available via their mini-suite. 9,999 Ringtones Uncensored has over 20 different voices it can turn just about any sentence you create into an audio ringtone.
On launch a box will pop up giving you the basic 3 step process to creating your ring. It’s as easy as you would expect it to be. First, you will have to enter an email address where you can collect ringtones afterwards. Next, enter your text in the box provided and afterward, there is the option of adding sound effects, pick the style of voice you want, and hit “Create”. After that, your ringtone will magically be put together and sit waiting for you on the dev’s website.
It is simple. A nice plus is that once you hit send, you are treated to a quick preview of what your ring will sound like on your phone. The only issue I noticed is one that seems to plague “text to speech” anything. It seems no matter what, the transformation to words still isn’t 100% smooth. Voices still sound a little robotic. They aren’t bad, but certainly could be better.
After you’ve created some rings, just go to the autoringtone website and click on the red “Download Your Ringtones” text link. There you’ll see a spot to enter your email and a box to select either .m4r or .aiff formats. Click the “List” button and you’ll be brought to a page where you’ll be able to either download or delete your rings. Again, it is completely easy to manage ringtone system. All you have left to do is drag it into itunes and sync it to your phone. Done and done.
This was the first app of this type for me and I really had no idea what I would find. I was pleasantly surprised with its functionality and how easy it was to be able to make/save/use the ringtones. Aside from slightly robotic voices, the results are great. I definitely recommend 9,999 Ringtones Uncensored to anyone who wants to be out with their ring out.
