The amount of rumours, having circulated around the iTablet in general and the possible upcoming event at the end of January in particular has probably been second to none. Some of bloggers out there have taken a tally and counted up to 70 news pieces on the Saturday following Christmas alone. And all of this without any confirmations from the big A themselves.
Well, it has all just changed. Apple has sent out the long awaited for official invitations to “an invitation-only event at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco on January 27 at 10:00a.m“. And the sole hint on the agenda is the cryptic title on the invite – “Come see our latest creation.”
But journalists wouldn’t be journalists if they didn’t have ways of finding out what no-one wanted them to know, right? And apparently the ones working at Fox News are either really good or simply well connected, since their informant gave them quite a specific and very believable agenda for the event.
According to the source the event will most likely center on 3 projects:
The tablet device, iPhone 4, and a new round of iLife 2010 software.
Well, that’s almost it, folks. We have only 8 days left until we finally find out what all of the rumours have been about. Will this be another revolution? Or will the tablet fail like the ill-fated Newton? We’ll soon find out!
