Augmented Reality contact lenses – eyePhone
Augmented Reality apps have been popping up all over the App Store, but they are about to meet their match in terms of portability. The University of Washington has a team working on soft-contact mounted displays which project images directly onto the retinas of the wearer. Better yet, the contact lens will be ‘powered’ by external radio waves like those a mobile phone emits, so you can probably imagine the possibilities.
