EasyPay the iPod touch way unwrapped
AppleInsider have more scoop on the iPod touch-based EasyPay system which is set to replace the sometimes horrid Windows Mobile-based units currently in use by Apple. The upside, as I mentioned is that Apple maintain the ball and the court; no more will they have to pay outside corporations for maintenance. Using Apple hardware also removes the cupertino one step further from Microsoft hegemony. EasyPay iPod touch systems are made possible via Apple’s OS 3.0 firmware which enabled third-party add-ons. AppleInsider also mention that the hitherto used system is much bigger and bulkier and so to is the Samsung version used at the Microsoft store.
